I am a writer.
I write to tell a story, to understand the truths of the world around me. I write to understand myself.

What I Write
Short Stories
Short stories speak to me because a large idea can be contained in a very short narrative. When my writing not only entertains but encourages thought and discussion, I feel my task as a writer has been accomplished.
Travel
One of my great joys is to travel with my husband and our two amazing boys. I'll post about our adventures with helpful links to the places we've enjoyed along the way.
Novel
I am currently querying my novel, Water on the Grid, a dual time line thriller presenting Trish, a crossword loving, swim champ whose quiet life gets upended when her college friend is murdered. Clawing her way out of the depths of grief, Trish marries Liam Rafferty and enjoys a few quiet years before Liam vanishes. When a hooded intruder seeks to stop her investigation into her friend's murder and Liam's disappearance, Trish has to decide if she will remain in the traumatized quiet she's created or dig up the past, find her friend's killer, and hopefully, find Liam.
Start writing, no matter what. The water does not flow until the faucet is turned on.

ABOUT US
Why a writer?
I've always been quiet, my thoughts outnumbering the words exiting my lips. Since I was a little girl, those thoughts seemed too large for my mind and the only way to make sense of it all was to put it on paper. So, I write to understand, but also to connect. I feel that many of us have thoughts larger than ourselves and if were to share them with each other, they'd be much easier to carry.
