The music we listen to as teenagers often follows us well into adulthood. These are the melodies and lyrics that define our adolescence, covering over the angst, tumultuous relationships and stresses of growing older, yet not quite growing up. I discovered my anthem to life over a decade ago, with Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory. As I grew, I connected my heart to much more of Linkin Park’s music through a pair of earbuds and my green iPod mini and no matter what happened from that moment forward, Linkin Park was there. I am no longer a teenager navigating the currents of rebellion and fear, but an actual adult with a full-time job, a wife, and a mother. But when I heard Linkin Park was going to be performing in Montreal, CA, I knew I would be there, cheering them on, singing the old songs and the new, and dancing like time stood still.
